INTRODUCTION: - Cabadbaran City's main festival is the Dagkot Festival, celebrated annually on February 2nd to honor the city's patron saint, Nuestra Señora de Candelaria . The name "Dagkot" means "to light a candle" in Cebuano, and the event is a large-scale candle lighting celebration featuring street dancing, music, and competitions, symbolizing prayers, gratitude, and hope. The festival, first launched in 2008, is the largest of its kind in the Caraga region and highlights Cabadbaran's vibrant culture.
